Watching videos should feel natural, smooth and effortless. That’s exactly what the Zalira Video Player is built for. Whether you’re scrolling through short portrait videos or enjoying full-length movies, the player automatically adapts to give you the perfect viewing experience.
In this guide, you’ll learn everything about using Zalira — from gestures and controls to navigation and features. Let’s get started!
🎥 1. Automatic Portrait & Landscape Mode
Zalira detects the type of video and switches the screen orientation automatically:
- Shorts, Reels, TikTok-style videos → Portrait Mode
- Movies, full-length videos → Landscape Mode
You don’t have to rotate your phone manually — the player does it for you.
🖐️ 2. Smart Tap & Gesture Controls
➤ A. Tap Controls (Based on Orientation)
Portrait Mode:
- Tap left side → Play previous video
- Tap right side → Play next video
Landscape Mode:
- Tap left → Skip 30 seconds backward
- Tap right → Skip 30 seconds forward
Each mode has its own separate tap functions for easy navigation.

- One Tap: Show the media control buttons
- Two-Finger Tap:
- Tap once → Pause
- Tap again → Play
- Right Side Swipe Up/Down: Control volume
- Left Side Swipe Up/Down: Control brightness

- Tap lock → Screen is locked
- One tap → Unlock button appears
- Tap unlock → Controls activated again

- Mini Player / PiP Mode:
- Tap minimize → Continue watching while multitasking
- Tap fullscreen icon → Return to full player

When you open Zalira, the app asks for two permissions:
- Video Access → To load all your videos
- Post Notifications → To notify you when video playback starts
After granting permissions, you’ll see three main tabs:
A. All Videos
Shows every video stored on your device with:
- Thumbnail
- Duration
- Resolution
- File size
- Title
Tap to play instantly.
Long press to open:
- Video information
- Add to Favorites
- More options
B. Folders
View videos grouped by folders — simple and organized.
C. Favorites
Add any video to favorites by long-pressing it in the list.
Inside the Favorites tab, you can:
- Play the video
- Remove from favorites
- View options

Top Bar Features:
- Search across All Videos, Folders, and Favorites
- Sort By:
- Recently Added
- Name
- Size
- Duration
- Date Reversed
Bottom Refresh Button:
If a new video is not showing in the list, tap Refresh to update the library.
